The founder had a solid knowledge in social work which motivated him to work for the society in a committed manner. In 2002, like-minded social workers joined together to discuss how they could help empower marginalized communities. The result of the Discussion was the advent of Real Charitable Trust in 2007. He continues to be ably supported by self-less esteemed board members who promised to stand in the mission.
Real Charitable Trust took birth in the year 2002 and registered as a Voluntary Social Service Organization in December 2007 under Indian Trust act. The Founder and Chairperson Dr. Lawrence wants to extend these services to all those in need from womb to tomb and inclusive of all communities irrespective of caste, creed and religion. The Trust continues to keep alive the indefatigable flame with a deep concern for the welfare and development of Children and Women living in poverty and started to implement community based projects for specific groups. Since then, the Trust has been upgrading and expanding its mission and unfolded many developmental programs for the target group. Its Focus group has been children, women, youth, adolescents, industrial workers, sweepers, scavengers, waste pickers, transgender, sex workers and people living with HIV and AIDS (PLHA) in the districts of Chennai, Chengalpet, Kancheepuram, Thiruvallur and slums in other districts of Tamil Nadu.
Vision
To protect the human with all rights and human dignity through basic education And humanistic service to orphan children, women and aged persons in difficult circumstancesandin distress in rural and urban areas and to protect the environment for the future generation.
